Causes and risk factors for stent restenosis in patients after percutaneous coronary interventions

چکیده
Percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) is one of the main components in treatment artery disease (CAD) and especially its acute forms. Nevertheless, restenosis stented arteries, which significantly worsens course CAD, remains a significant clinical problem this technology. Prevention complication requires modern understanding complex pathogenetic mechanisms restenosis. Based on literature data, frequency development stents with medical coatings range from 3 to 20 %. The mechanism multifactorial includes biological, mechanical, genetic factors. mechanical causes are insufficient expansion stent or destruction, biological factors include local inflammation, leading aggressive neointimal proliferation late neoatherosclerosis. search for possibilities influence still ongoing. Intracoronary imaging crucial identifying selecting individual therapy.

Inflammation and restenosis after percutaneous coronary interventions.
The role of inflammation in the development of restenosis after percutaneous coronary interventions has been investigated in several studies. There is an interaction of inflammatory activation and vascular wall response to injury leading to intimal hyperplasia. Percutaneous interventions trigger inflammatory reactions leading to the development of intimal hyperplasia. This reaction is even more...
متن کاملGenetic inflammatory factors predict restenosis after percutaneous coronary interventions.
BACKGROUND Restenosis is a negative effect of percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). No clinical factors are available that allow good risk stratification. However, evidence exists that genetic factors are important in the restenotic process as well as in the process of inflammation, a pivotal factor in restenosis. Association studies have identified genes that may predispose to restenosis, ...
متن کاملCoronary collaterals and risk for restenosis after percutaneous coronary interventions: a meta-analysis
BACKGROUND The benefit of the coronary collateral circulation (natural bypass network) on survival is well established. However, data derived from smaller studies indicates that coronary collaterals may increase the risk for restenosis after percutaneous coronary interventions. The purpose of this systematic review and meta-analysis of observational studies was to explore the impact of the coll...

AIM to determine factors associated with In-Stent Restenosis (ISR) in patients following Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI). METHODS a retrospective cross-sectional study was conducted using secondary information from medical records of post-PCI patients who underwent follow-up of angiography PCI between January 2009 and March 2014 at The Integrated Cardiovascular Service Unit, Cipto Ma...
